Keady Opals was founded by Stanley L Keady established in 1947.. Stan Keady was in the 1960s, the world's largest rough Opal exporter.Shipments of rough Opal to West Germany, USA , Japan and Hong Kong .The company operated mostly with South Australian Opal from Andamooka  and Coober Pedy. Then 1970 Stan Keady led a large Sydney based company Mayneside Industries to open up some remote opal mines in Western Queensland and and commenced marketing Boulder Opal to the world for the first time in volume of commercial qualities.Boulder Opal is strong  and unique and  at one a quarter of the price of Black Opal, it is a great deal for designers looking to produce unusual jewellery as the world market demands. Today  in 2021  Keady Opal Company is run by Rod Keady. The Keady Bros who were both raised into this business in all areas of mining ,cutting ,designing  and  marketing globally , have represented Australia and attended many International Gem and Jewellery shows from EXPO 1974  in Spokane, to  filming antics in Hollywood  with Rodeo Drive bespoke Jewellers to appearances  at Tokyo Int Jewellery Shows ,Beijing -Peking Fairs and many more . Privately  servicing elite clients with Australian Opal gems and collectibles  .
